Camera parts
A camera is essentially a light tight box that contains the following:
- a lens (a hole covered in glass which lets light into the camera and allows you to focus)
- a shutter (to control how much light is let in)
- film/image sensor (to record the image)

In order to take a correctly exposed photo, you need to adjust 3 things:
- aperture (also known as f-stop) - this controls the size of the hole in the lens
- shutter speed - this controls the length of time the light is let into the camera
- ISO - controls how sensitive the image sensor is to light
